To participate in a Man Uncharted expedition, you must agree to the terms outlined in this document. It is a mandatory legal prerequisite designed to ensure informed consent and clearly define the scope of responsibility, risk, and liability for all parties.
You will be required to review and sign this agreement in person on Day One of the expedition. Failure or refusal to sign will result in immediate disqualification from participation, without refund. This is non-negotiable.
I understand and agree that Man Uncharted expeditions are not therapy, medical treatment, or licensed wilderness instruction. The content, coaching, and guidance provided are based on personal experience, peer leadership, and shared knowledge — not on formal certifications in mental health, medicine, or wilderness survival.
No outcomes or results are guaranteed — physical, emotional, or otherwise. My growth depends on my own mindset, effort, and personal context.
I understand and confirm that my participation in the Man Uncharted expedition is voluntary and by my own choice. I have read and understood the expedition description and agree that I meet the stated physical, mental, and logistical requirements.
I affirm that I am at least 18 years of age, of sound mind, and legally competent to enter into this agreement without duress or influence.
I acknowledge that this expedition involves physical exertion, exposure to natural elements, remote environments, and participation in potentially hazardous activities, which may include but are not limited to:
I understand that injury, illness, emotional stress, or even death are possible outcomes of participating in this expedition. I assume full responsibility for these risks, whether foreseen or unforeseen, including loss or damage to personal property.
I affirm that I am in good health and capable of participating in strenuous outdoor activity. I have disclosed all relevant medical conditions to the organizers, and I agree to provide ongoing disclosures if my health changes during the expedition.
Falsifying information about your health or fitness level may lead to removal from the expedition without refund.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Chasing Excellence LLC, Man Uncharted, its founder(s), employees, guides, contractors, partners, affiliates, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action — including those for personal injury, property damage, disability, illness, or death — arising out of or connected with my participation in the expedition, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
This release does not apply to claims arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct, to the extent such exclusions are required by applicable law.
I understand that it is my responsibility to obtain personal health insurance and verify emergency evacuation and Search and Rescue (SAR) coverage. The organizers may purchase group SAR coverage, but I remain responsible for knowing what is covered and for my own medical and travel insurance.
I agree to follow all instructions provided before and during the expedition — including the gear list, safety procedures, and group rules. I acknowledge that failure to comply may lead to my removal from the expedition without refund. I am responsible for my personal gear, behavior, and preparation.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, I grant permission for photos, videos, or testimonials featuring me during the expedition to be used for promotional, educational, and commercial purposes by Man Uncharted and Chasing Excellence LLC. To opt out, email hello@man-uncharted.com prior to the expedition.
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. Any legal dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of that state.
Any liability of the organizers shall be limited to the total amount paid for the expedition, to the extent permitted by law. This limitation applies regardless of the nature of the claim.
This document, together with the expedition Terms & Conditions and any booking forms, constitutes the entire agreement. No oral representations or modifications shall be binding unless made in writing and signed by both parties.
I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Chasing Excellence LLC, Man Uncharted, and their founders, employees, guides, contractors, affiliates, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, expenses, or legal fees arising out of:
This indemnity obligation survives the completion of the expedition.
If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. This agreement binds me, my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and estate.
I have carefully read this entire agreement and fully understand its terms. I acknowledge that I have had the opportunity to ask questions and seek independent legal advice if desired. I sign this agreement voluntarily, without any pressure or inducement.
